Anna Jean Tinsley Bernard, 76, of Martinsville, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022, at Stanleytown Health and Rehab. She was born November 28, 1945, in Mary Town, West Virginia, to the late Otis I. Tinsley and Gladys Tinsley. She was a member of Deliverance Faith Temple Church and had been employed by Tultex. She had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed westerns, riding, dancing, traveling, Pepsi, Lays potato chips, and spending time with family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Allen “Fred” Tinsley, Sr. Ms. Tinsley is survived by a daughter, Charmin Belcher (Dennis); sons, Michael Tinsley and Timothy M. Tinsley; sisters, Erma Dillard, Brenda Lawshe-Jefferson (Walter), and Sharon Neal; brothers Otis L. Tinsley, Jr., Jimmy Tinsley, Tommy Tinsley, and Joe H. Tinsley (Gail); grandson, Shaquon Tamar Tinsely; great-grandson, Kairo K. Tinsley; special friend, Glynis Millner; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. The funeral will be Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow at Carver Memorial Gardens. A floating visitation will be held Friday, March 18, 2022, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
