Annie Mae Hodges Fitzgerald, 80, of Rocky Mount, Virginia passed away Friday, November 20, 2020 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born March 5, 1940 to the late David and Easter Ann Hodges in Rocky Mount, Virginia. She was married to the late George Raymond Fitzgerald. She attended Evangelistic Tabernacle. She liked to garden before she became ill. In addition to her husband and parents, Annie was preceded in death by her sons, Allen Hodges and George Raymond Fitzgerald, Jr.; sister, Betty Durham; brothers, Paten Hodges and Johnny Hodges. Annie is survived by her children, Roxie Fields (Joseph), Judy Rogers (Eddie), Lisa Brown, David Fitzgerald (Melissa), Joseph Fitzgerald (Nikki), Joshua Fitzgerald (Hope), Danny Fitzgerald (April), Abraham Fitzgerald (Shannon), Amy Fitzgerald; 37 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Henry Memorial Park with Rev. Elwood Gallimore officiating. Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
