Brenda Miles Cheek, 71, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022, at UNC Rockingham Hospital. She was born May 7, 1950, in Martinsville, to the late Rayford Edgar Miles and Omie Helen Finney Miles. She had been employed by American Furniture Company for over 35 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Durham. Brenda is survived by her husband, Grover Cheek; son, Shanon Ray Wood; sisters, Dorothy Welch and Linda Bates; and brothers, John Hall and Jesse Finney. All services will be private.
