On Thursday morning, April 14th, 2022, Clory Faye Witcher 86, transitioned to her eternal home. She was born April 6th, 1936, to Thomas Reed Witcher and Lillie R. Witcher. Clory was educated in the Henry County School system and retired from Pulaski Furniture after 26 years of dedication and service. After her retirement, she enjoyed participating in numerous church activities, helping others, cooking, and providing words of encouragement to those in need. Clory took pride in lifting the spirits and hearts of many. She was a long-time member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church under Rev. Samuel Adams. She served as a member of the Mass Choir and later continued her membership under the leadership of Bishop Dr. Michael Penn at The Galilean House of Worship where she served as a member of the Bereavement and Flower Ministry and was a devoted Mother of the Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Reed Witcher and Lillie R. Witcher; brothers, Eldridge J. Witcher, Tommy J. Witcher, Dewey L. Witcher, Bobby E. Witcher, and James E. Witcher; sisters, Elizabeth Bessie Hodge, Josie M. Witcher, and Frances L. Scott; and a son who she cherished dearly, Command Sergeant Major (CSM) Rickey Witcher. As the last descendent of her immediate family, Clory leaves behind a great family to cherish her wonderful memory and carry on her legacy; a son, Billy (Trina) Witcher of Martinsville, VA; daughter Gloria (Gary) Waller of Martinsville, VA; a daughter-in-law, Liz Witcher of Severn, Maryland; grandsons, Alphonso Galloway, Tony Law, Demar Witcher, Nick Gambill, and Darius Waller; one granddaughter, Nikia Paschal (Witcher) and one great-granddaughter, Taylor Cline and great-great grandchildren, Demi Cline and Skyona Cline. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends. The funeral will be Friday, April 22, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Bishop Michael Penn officiating. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Witcher Family Cemetery, Blue Knob Road, Martinsville. A Floating Visitation will be Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. The Witcher family will be having guests at Billy Witcher’s home on 597 Blue Knob Road, Martinsville VA 24112
