Dwight Foy Richardson, 69, of Ridgeway, Virginia, passed away Friday, January 14, 2022, at Stanleytown Health Care Center. He was born December 13, 1952, in Virginia, to the late Sterling Foy Richardson and Ella Mae Catron Richardson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Shannon Richardson. Dwight spent his career in the furniture industry working at W.M. Bassett Furniture and then Stanley Furniture. After his retirement he worked as a security guard at Kings Grant. He liked hunting, camping, cooking, and spending time with family. Dwight will be greatly missed as “Pa” to everyone he loved. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Ann Watkins Richardson; daughter, Angie Wells; sisters, Phyllis Warren (Barry) and Brenda Richardson; grandchildren, Nikki, Josey (Otis) and Megan; great-grandchildren, Preston, Julia, Novalee and Hunter; sister-In-law, Kay Lester; brother-in-law, JR Watkins; and multiple nieces and nephews.
