JB Manns, 74, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at SOVAH Health of Martinsville. He was born October 13, 1947, in Henry County to the late Harry Douglas Manns, Sr. and Katherine Stanley Manns. He attended Fresh Start Ministries and had been employed by Stanley Furniture for over 30 years. He enjoyed watching television and taking walks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Terri Manns; sister, Virginia Elizabeth Manns; half-sisters, Teresa Manns and Virginia Manns; and half-brother, Jimmy Manns. J. B. is survived by his wife, Lucy Estes Manns; daughters, Ashley Smith and Sheretta Chapman; sons, Steven Manns, Shawn Law and Troy Manns; sisters, Gabrillia “Gaye” Gillbert and Diane Mitchell; brother, Garnett H. Manns (Virginia); and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family and friends. The funeral will be Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at 2:00 P. M. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Dr. Lewis Walker officiating. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Stanley Family Cemetery, Penrose Drive, Bassett, Virginia. There will be a floating visitation on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
