Kevin Maurice Pilson, 58, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Friday, January 14, 2022, at the VA Medical Center. He was born July 17, 1963, in Rocky Mount, to the late Conrad Elma Pilson and Josephine Preston Pilson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Mariah Preston, Frances Scott Martin, and Conrad Pilson, Sr. Kevin proudly served in the United States Army for three years. He enjoyed spending his time cooking, singing, and eating. He attended Mount Olive East Christian Church. He graduated from George Washington Carver High School. Kevin is survived by his sisters, Deirdre Ephriam (Earnest) and Diane Willingham (John); and brothers, Jerry Preston (Patricia), Derwin Pilson (Donna) and Gregory Pilson. The funeral will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Olive East Christian Church Cemetery, 3611 Spencer Preston Road, Martinsville, Virginia. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
