Marvin L. Pritchett, 79, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Monday, January 17, 2022, at his home. He was born June 30, 1942, in Pittsylvania County, to the late Lynwood and Elizabeth Carter Pritchett. He was a taxi driver for over ten years and a member of Mount Zion United Holy Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, gardening and spending time with family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Shirley, Dorothy, Mildred and Mattie Pritchett; and brothers, Willie, Sonny, James, George and Joe Pritchett. Marvin is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Moore Pritchett; daughters, Robin R. Pritchett, Amelia T. Pritchett and Sandra Tinsley; sons, Willie L. Pritchett and Marvin A. Pritchett; sisters, Cassie P. Carter and Martha Lynch; twenty-eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Elder LaVarra. Hagwood officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Pritchett Family Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, January 28, 2022 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
