Nora Gaye Holt Hill, 58, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born May 28, 1963, in Webster Springs, West Virginia, to the late Gene Holt, Sr. and Margie Hitt Holt. She loved music, spending time with her grandchildren, coloring, painting, and cooking. She was of the Methodist faith and attended the historic Big Creek High School in War, West Virginia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Brenda Holt and Terry Schmees; and brother, Dave Holt. Nora is survived by her husband, Claude Hill; sons, Chris Hill (Amanda) and David Hill (Kayla); sister, Joyce Hall; brothers; Mark Holt, Hugh Holt, Tim Schmees, Gene Holt, Jr., and Rick Holt; and grandchildren, James Robert Hill and Alyssa Kaye Hill. The funeral will be Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 4:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Pete Nance officiating. Burial will follow at Fair Haven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday, March 25, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
