Randolph Gordon Cox, 57, of Martinsville, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at SOVAH Health of Martinsville. He was born August 25, 1964, in Franklin County, Virginia, to the late Waitman Cox and Frances Cox Waller. Randy was a professional truck driver and retired from Warren Trucking. He enjoyed spending time with his family traveling and camping, and working on things. He was known as a “Jack of all Trades.” He was a loving husband, brother, father and papa. Papa was his favorite title. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Brenda Jamison Cox; daughters, Jessica Cox (Dwayne Hancock) and Jodi Hasty (Thor); son, Randy Lee Hawks; sister, Karen Harrell (John); brother, Andy Cox; mother-in-law, Frances Jamison; niece, Tyler Harrell; and grandchildren, Lilliana Hasty, Noah Alan Shuff, Jasmine Hawks, Chloe Hawks, and Zaiden Hawks; and his loving dog, Bubba Jay. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 2:00 P. M. at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Snow Creek. The family will receive friends and family at the wife’s home on Figsboro Road. Wright Funeral Service and Crematory is serving the family.
