Robert Hairston

Robert Hairston, 81, of Martinsville, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022. He was born January 27, 1941, in Henry County to the late Mae Willie Hairston. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by sisters, Louise Hairston and Gladys Hairston; and brother, Joe Louis Hairston. He attended Henry County Public Schools, and had been employed by Pulaski Furniture for 10 years. He enjoyed sitting around joking with people and spending time with family and friends. Robert is survived by his sister, Lillian Swanson (Leon); nieces, Tracy Keen (Bobby, Jr.), Gloria Hairston, Carolyn Jamison Hairston and Mary Hairston; and nephews, James Hairston and Chris Swanson (Lacoma). The funeral will be Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel, with Bishop Lorenzo Hall officiating. Burial will follow the service at Fair Haven Memorial Park. A floating visitation will be Monday, February 14, 2022, from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel Wright Funeral Service and Crematory is serving the family.
