Thomas Penn, 80, of Martinsville, passed away Friday, April 29, 2022 at SOVAH Health of Martinsville. He was born April 25, 1942 in Martinsville, to the late George and Nellie Harper Penn. He had been employed by Pillowtex for over 20 years. He was a member of the Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, and served on the Culinary Committee and Usher Board. He enjoyed playing cards and spending time with family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Cathleene Brown, Harriett Waller, Ella Brown and Sue Butler; and brothers, Joe Penn, Tom Harper and James Penn, Sr. Tom is survived by his son, Calvin Penn; and five grandchildren. The funeral will be Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 2:30 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
