Wanda Lorraine Parrish, 78, of Stoneville, North Carolina, passed away Monday, January 17, 2022, at her home. She was born October 19, 1943, in Welch, West Virginia, to the late Ellen Mullins Dunford. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Dorson Parrish; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Mitchem; son, Danny Parrish; sister, Ada Sizemore; brother, Jerry Mullins; and grandson, Ivan Mitchem. Wanda enjoyed babysitting, sewing, crocheting, listening to Radio Station B99.9, and Elvis. She loved talking to everyone and never met a stranger. Wanda is survived by her daughters, Laura Mitchem (Jerry), Wanda Sue Parrish, Joanne Lopez (Edgar), and Regina Nester (John Sr.); sons, Bobby Ray Mullins, Johnny Parrish, and Benny Parrish; grandchildren, Crystal Bolden, Melissa Lorenzo (Marten), Travis Anker, Amanda Garcia (Simi), John Nester, Jr. (Kelcie), Karri Parrish, Tabatha Parrish, Chad Hubbert, Belinda Wilbanks, Cody Mitchem, Elizabeth Mitchem, Dean Mitchem, Larry Williams, Stephanie Craig (Joe), Jerry Ray Mitchem, Crystal Short (Johnny), and Melissa Mitchem; and great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Fair Haven Memorial Park at 11:00 AM. Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
